Martin Scorsese has partnered with Apple to finance and produce the new movie Killers of the Flower Moon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scorsese originally brought the movie to Netflix–which financed his extremely expensive mobster movie The Irishman–but Apple’s bid apparently came in higher.

The report says Netflix was ready to sign Killers of the Flower Moon for $215 million, while MGM was also said to be involved in the bidding process for an undisclosed sum

The final price paid by Apple for Killers of the Flower Moon was not revealed in the report. Apple will finance the movie, while Paramount (which is owned by GameSpot parent company ViacomCBS) will distribute it.
